Somebody once said, "For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.". I guess that it is reasonable to assume that we cannot to get rid of prostate cancer without having our bodies make a few other changes as well. However, the side effects I experienced were very mild indeed compared to the quote "side effects" of the more traditional therapies applied to this disease, such as not having sex for the rest of your life and having to wear a diaper to boot. First I noticed that when I started taking the vitamins my digestive system got a little out of whack for a couple of days, meaning diarrhea. Then when I started on the Fiber Greens, the same thing happened again for a couple of days. Something that might avoid this is to ramp up to the recommended dosage of these two items. Maybe if I had started with half the dose for the first week these side effects may have been avoided. The introduction of the PC Spes also created only one side effect for me and that was itchy nipples. Maybe once or twice a day they will itch a little and just giving them a quick rub makes the itch go away. I actually took encouragement from this considering it to be an indication that the PC Spes was working. In some of the testimonials that I have read some men complain of very sensitive nipples requiring some sort of covering. I am assuming that these men are taking more than the minimum recommended dosage but I don't know that for a fact. Some men also reported a loss of libido, that means a diminished lack of interest in the opposite sex, or maybe even in the same sex depending on your preference. I also assume when you go onto the maintenance dose of PC Spes that your libido will return to its former level. Again, I must assume that these men were on the higher doses of the product as I experienced only a minor loss of libido. IMPORTANT One side effect that you should be aware of is the tendency for your blood to thicken. Experts on PC Spes recommend that when starting to take PC Spes that you have the three blood tests relative to this done before starting PC Spes, and then again after taking the product for 30 days. The tests are PTT, INR, and Prothrombin + INR. Your doctor may recommend additional blood tests as well. Be sure and check with your doctor if you have ever had this problem in the past! In my case there was a significant change in only one of the tests, the PTT. Mine went from 33 before starting PC Spes to 24 after the first month. Both of these readings are within the normal range. If you experience a change in these test results out of the normal range, then you should consult with your doctor about what remedies are available. It is my understanding that there are very effective natural as well as prescription remedies that will correct this problem. In any event I was cautioned to keep an eye on this during the use of PC Spes and I am also having additional repeats of these tests done every month right along with the PSA test. As regards the use of the ProBoost A Thymic Protein. I experienced a slight feeling of warmth in my face during the first few days of use. I was told that this was the result of my immune system kicking into high gear and finding some low level infections or other foreign invaders in my body and it was in the process of eliminating them. This never occurred again after the first few days. However, not long after starting to take the ProBoost A I came down with a rather nasty flu bug that put me in bed for a day or two. I was running a fever of about 100 degrees. When I would take a dose of the ProBoost A my temperature would immediately rise one to two degrees. It would stay there for an hour or more then return to the former reading. Again, I was told that this was a result of the thymus protein stimulating my immune system into a greater awareness of the viral infection and calling it to a higher level of effectiveness in warding off the invader. This flu only lasted two days and I was left with no after affects or secondary infections. I have only been sick with a cold or flu one other time since then with the same results, shorter duration and no after effects. ProBoost A may not be a cure for the common cold, but it seems to get me through them quicker. It is my belief that it is better to avoid other challenges for your immune system while it is dealing with prostate cancer as that is probably a full time job for it. Dr. Lewis in his book recommends not taking PC Spes when your body is having to deal with an infection. So I am taking the ProBoost Thymic Protein A as a hedge against infection while I am taking the PC Spes. Anyway, the above are all of the side effects that I have to report to you. I noticed no others and the ones I have mentioned were so mild and inconsequential in my case as to hardly be worthy of mention. This is a far cry from the effects of prostate cancer and/or the after effects of surgery, massive radiation treatments, or the other conventional therapies currently used to fight this disease.
