SuperFlex Advanced offers Glucosamine Hydrochloride (HCL) in combination with Chondroitin Sulfate. Glucosamine is a natural compound found in healthy cartilage and is used by the body to build tendons, ligaments, cartilage, and the thick fluid that surrounds joints. Some studies suggest glucosamine supplementation may be at least as effective at pain relief as standard NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs).

Chondroitin Sulfate is a major component of extracellular matrix, important in maintaining the structural integrity of tissue. It is the major glycosaminoglycan (GAG) present in cartilage and works to keep the cartilage healthy by absorbing water. Studies show chondroitin supplements decrease osteoarthritis pain and may slow progression of the disease.

Super*Flex™ Advanced combines chondroprotective agents with three synergistic anti-inflammatory ingredients, Curcumin C3 Complex, bromelain and boswellia. Curcumin C3 Complex decreases paraprotein load and bone resorption; Bromelain is a proteolytic enzyme, extracted from pineapple, which inhibits edema and swelling of the joints and is also used to relax muscles. Boswellia is a traditional Ayurvedic herb that has been shown to suppress cells which break down bone. It has also been demonstrated by modern research, these ingredients function with high efficacy and are safe anti-inflammatory supplements.

Manganese is an essential trace mineral that is involved in bone and tissue growth and repair. Research on combination therapy of glucosamine, chondroitin, and manganese was found to relieve symptoms of knee osteoarthritis.
