Liver Support & Detox Intensive by Pharmax
Liver Support and Detox Intensive is an intensive detoxification
program geared towards the support and stimulation of Phase 2
detoxification.
Typically per sachet: N-acetyl cysteine 450mg Glycine
150mg L-ornithine 450mg L-methionine 150mg Magnesium taurate
450mg Choline bitartrate 150mg Limonene (as freeze dried limonene
concentrate) 6mg Watercress (freeze dried extract) 100mg (equivalent to
1,000mg fresh watercress) Ellagic acid 100mg Indole-3-carbinol
120mg Green tea extract 30mg providing 18mg polyphenols and 12mg
catechins Molybdenum ascorbate 0.45mg Fructooligosaccharides 1000mg
Vitamin C (as ascorbic acid) 500mg Blueberry powder (Vaccinium myrtillus)
300mg Blackcurrant powder (Ribes nigrum) 300mg Blackcherry powder
(Prunus cerasus) 300mg Blackberry powder (Rubus villosus) 200mg Milk
thistle seed standardized extract 13mg (Silybum marianum) providing 10.4mg
silymarin Calcium glucarate 150mg
Recommended intake: One sachet (10g) dissolved in water
fruit juice, taken daily with meals or professionally directed.
Contra-indications: Do not use during pregnancy or if
pregnancy is being planned.
Non-active ingredients: Puree of freeze dried lemon, apricot,
citric acid, potassium bicarbonate, natural vanilla flavor
Features and Benefits: N-acetyl cysteine is needed in the
formation of glutathionine, which is required for glutathione conjugation
Glycine, L-ornithine, L-methionine and magnesium taurate are substrates
required for amino acid conjugation Choline and L-methionine are both
involved in methylation Limonene has been shown to increase the level of
glutathione conjugation enzymes Watercress increases detoxification via
glucuronidation Ellagic acid induces detoxification via both glutathione
conjugation and glucuronidation Indole-3-carbinol and green tea extract
both increase the activity of glutathione-S-transferase leading to enhanced
glutathione conjugation Molybdenum is used as a co-factor for Phase 2
sulfation Fructooligosaccharides, via their bifidogenic effect, decrease
the deconjugation rate of toxins excreted via the bile. This decrease
re-absorption of toxins in the gatrointestinal tract Vitamin C reduces the
production of free radicals that are generated in Phase 1 of the
detoxification Blueberry, blackcurrent, black cherry and blackberry reduce
the production of free radicals that are generated in Phase 1 and balance Phase
1 and Phase 2 Silymarin and indole-3-carbinol from brassica plants are
potent stimulators of Phase 1 and Phase 2 reactions and have intense
antioxidant properties Calcium glucarate prevents Phase 2 conjugates from
being deconjugated, thereby accelerating excretion.
