Flax Seed Oil 100 softgels Cold Pressed, Certified Organic (Hypoallergenic) by Allergy Research Group, Nutricology.
Also available in liquid form. Flax seed oil is the most potent known source of alpha-linolenic acid, an essential omega-3 fatty acid. It is extracted from organically grown flax seeds using a special cold-pressing process, which minimizes the damaging effects of light, oxygen and heat. Flax seed oil is also rich in the omega-6 essential fatty acid, linoleic acid, as well as the omega-9 essential fatty acid, oleic acid. With a total EFA content greater than 70%, and a total unsaturation of greater than 90%, this is a cost-effective source of omega-3, omega-6, and omega-9 fatty acids. Essential fatty acids are involved in prostaglandin synthesis, hormone production, immune response, fat metabolism, and cell membrane integrity and fluidity.
Suggested Use: As a dietary supplement, 1 to 3 softgels three times daily, or as directed by a healthcare practitioner.
