A probiotic, non-colonizing yeast species closely related to Brewer's yeast and not related to the yeast group to group to which Candida belongs. During use, friendly probiotic bacteria are allowed to colonize in the GI tract making Saccharomyces boulardii particular beneficial in balancing intestinal microbiology.* It is then eliminated after supplementation is stopped. It also has been shown to support production of secretory IgA.*

Saccharomyces boulardii
Though not a permanent resident of the intestine, taken orally it quickly becomes established and "blooms" soon after supplementation. As it blooms, it produces lactic acid and some B vitamins, and has an overall probiotic effect. It is eliminated shortly after supplementation is discontinued. This is the most potent form available.

It aggressively displaces problematic yeast species in the GI tract and has been used in Europe to prevent post antibiotic diarrhea. Saccharomyces boulardii taken orally produces lactic acid and some B vitamins as it becomes established and crowds out the unfriendly strains of yeast. It is then eliminated after supplementation is stopped. During use, friendly probiotic bacteria are allowed to colonize in the GI tract supporting micro-ecology. Saccharomyces boulardii has been shown to increase levels of secretory IgA and research has shown it to be effective against specific unfriendly microbes.

Each capsule contains:
Saccharomyces boulardii 3 Billion
