Autoimmune Disorders

What Is Autoimmune?

The human body has many systems - one of them being the immune system. Our immune system helps us control positive and negative health reactions. It is primarily controlled by the nervous systems. This system controls all communications and assists in the up and down regulating of all chemical functions, which includes information.

Autoimmunity is the body's failure to recognize its own constituent parts as self, thus allowing an immune response against its own cells and tissues. In simple terms it is a system that has lost its ability to balance the information needed to control daily internal functions.

During an autoimmune response the body attacks itself, affecting important bodily processes. Autoimmune disorders can affect your nerves, muscles, endocrine system (system that directs the body s hormones and other chemicals) and digestive system.

Many people inherit autoimmune while others create it. Autoimmune responses, in most cases, are reversible or at the least controllable.

Allergies and thyroid conditions are the 2 most common autoimmune conditions known. When dealing with autoimmune conditions, it is imperative to work with both diet and environment because if you only deal with the condition then you will only be treating the symptoms. Before treating a specific autoimmune condition, it is important to start with a program that reverses the autoimmune responses.

Communication

When the body is in need of help, it sends out signals of information that request assistance. The body responds to this request by sending out a specific amount of help to neutralize the imbalance or repair the damage. With Autoimmune responses, the body has a tendency to send out too many helpers that are not clearly thinking (almost like they are intoxicated) and they wind up attacking everything in their path, including the good guys.

Epidemic Levels

Autoimmune conditions are reaching epidemic levels and one of the primary reasons, according to many pathologists and doctors, are environmental and consumed toxins. As the environment and our diets become more toxic, the immune system has continual demand on it, which lead to overloaded and disorganization in our biology. Most of us are fortunate to receive a body which is finely tuned and, in most cases, has a perfect working assembly line. As we age, this clean toxic free body takes on waste, toxins, stress and electromagnetic pollution. Like with every fine tuned operation there will be times where we have equipment breakdown and the assembly line starts to fail. Many errors start to happen and if these errors continue to happen they may lead to chronic illness or death.

Common Autoimmune Conditions:

Allergies, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Lupus, Multiple Sclerosis, Crohn's Disease, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Graves, Hashimoto s Thyroiditis, Type 1 Diabetes, Thyroid Disease, Psoriasis, Psoriatic Arthritis, Sympathetic Ophthalmitis, Neuropathies, Oophoritis, Orchitis, Lymphoproliferative Syndrome, Antiphospholipid Syndrome, Sjogren's Syndrome, Scleroderma, Addison's, Polyendocrine Deficiency Syndrome, Polyendocrine Deficiency Syndrome Type 1, Polyendocrine Deficiency Syndrome Type 2, Guillain-Barre Syndrome, Immune Thrombocytopenic Purpura, Pernicious Anemia, Myasthenia Gravis, Primary Biliary Cirrhosis, Mixed Connective Tissue Disease, Primary Glomerulonephritis, Vitiligo, Uveitis, Hemolytic Anemia, Thrombocytopenia, Celiac Disease, Dermatitis Herpetiformis, Hepatitis, Pemphigus, Pemphigus Vulgaris, Pemphigus Foliaceus, Bullous Pemphigoid, Myocarditis, Vasculitis Autoimmune Eye Diseases, Alopecia Areata, Autoimmune Atherosclerosis, Behcet's Disease, Autoimmune Myelopathy, Autoimmune Hemophilia, Interstitial Cystitis, Endometriosis, Relapsing Polychondritis, Ankylosing Spondylitis, Autoimmune Urticaria, Paraneoplastic, Dermatomyositis, Miller Fisher Syndrome, IgA Nephropathy, Goodpasture Syndrome, Herpes Gestationis and many more.

Medical Treatments

It is virtually impossible to treat these conditions or reverse the damage unless you return the body back to homeostasis, or back to balance. Treating only the symptoms will provide temporary relief while allowing a more serious disease to possibly set in or at the least allow the problem to continue its path of destruction. Common treatments are: Immunosuppressants, Steroids, Anti-Inflammatory, Thyroid Medication, Chemotherapy Drugs, Pain Killers, and in some cases Antidepressants.

Integrative Medicine Protocol

There is no magic bullet or quick fix for a condition that has been present for many years. However, the first important thing is to make sure your mind knows that this can be controlled or reversed naturally. The word controlled is always unsettling, but you have to remember that we cannot change the lifestyle influences you are living within. We can only improve on them. We need you to do your best possible to improve your daily routines and place as many bad habits aside for a few months. These habits include, caffeine, coffee, smoking, chocolate, ice cream, sugar, sweets, alcohol, dairy.
