Urinary Tract Health

URINARY TRACT
The urinary system (also called excretory system or the genitourinary system (GUS) is the organ system that produces, stores, and eliminates urine. In humans it includes two kidneys which are bean shaped, two ureters that are muscular ducts which propel urine from the kidneys to the urinary bladder, the bladder which is a hollow muscular organ shaped like a balloon, and the urethra which is at the very end of the system where the urine leaves the body.

Women in general have the most problems with urinary tract disorders.  Being they have 3 ports of entry into the female anatomy which are very close together.  Hygiene is most critical to prevent problems with the urinary tract.  The urinary system is designed to safely maintain urine for a period of time with the exception of the urethra.  The urethra can be weakened by feces, blood, foreign urine, unclean or infected fingers, infected semen, poorly designed or improper use of tampons, intercourse that introduces the rectum to the vagina and toys or props that are not cleaned and stored properly.

The most common urinary tract infection is Cystitis or symptoms simply known as burning and frequency.  Burning and frequency does feel and sound annoying but the body knows exactly what it is doing.  The burning is the acid pH creating an environment to acidity to kill off or chase away the bacteria and the frequency is trying to cleanse away the bacteria.  The bacteria most often known as E Coli is usually the culprit causing this condition.  So the more you drink unsweetened liquids the more you temporarily suffer but the final results will be freedom from discomfort.

The second most common cause of urinary problems is vaginal dryness.  The vagina and labia are designed to be moist for the purpose of creating an adhesive type seal from the outside world.  Water will not help create this seal.  It must be a greasy based substance that is non toxic, pH neutral, smells and taste pleasant and is biodegradable.  We will be listing a few choices at the end of this article.

Interstitial Cystitis
Interstitial Cystitis is simply known as the chronic cystitis or the urinary tract that does not go away.   Interstitial Cystitis is treatable and over a long term treatment possibly be placed into remission.

This article will not be complete until further research is obtained from a study that is being performed is Europe.
