HLC Candaclear is the revolutionary new product by Pharmax, which has been developed to re-establish the vaginal microflora and maintain vaginal health.

HLC Candaclear contains two natural components:

Lactobacillus acidophilus each suppository contains over 100 million living organisms, which upon application begin colonizing the vaginal surface.
Allicin - the most active antimicrobial substance found in the Allium group of food plants, which Pharmax scientists discovered had no negative effects on the beneficial population of lactobacillus acidophilus that naturally occur in the vagina and which are also present in Candaclear.

Maintenance Protocol

Once the Bacterial Vaginitis is under control, you can begin the maintenance program. Take one HLC Intensive capsule daily after a meal (or ½ tsp HLC Powder), and use an HLC CandaClear suppository 2-4x per month or during the times in your cycle you feel you are most likely to get a re-occurrence (i.e. during the end of your period). Keep Yeast Arrest Boric Acid on hand in case you do see any signs of re-occurrence. Keep your GI healthy and bowels moving regularly to eliminate toxins.

Other Tips:
*If it seems that sexual activity brings on a Bacterial Vaginitis reoccurrence, you may want to use a condom (to prevent semen from changing the acidity of your vagina), and use HLC CandaClear suppository after intercourse before bed since this would help re-establish good flora and balance pH in the vagina. The suppositories can be used once or twice daily.

* If you notice a faint odor returning, use a Yeast Arrest Boric Acid suppository. You may use one every 12 hours until symptoms subside. Follow with HLC CandaClear probiotics suppository to replenish the good bacteria. (i.e. 1-7 days Boric Acid, then 1-6 days Candaclear). Some women have success just using HLC Candaclear upon first sign of a reoccurrence. Try this first to see if it works for you.

* Take an apple cider vinegar Sitz Bath twice a day. Read more about Sitz Bath Here. Add 1/3 to 1/2 cup of organic raw apple cider vinegar in the sitz bath. If you are using a regular full bath tub, you'll need 2 full cups. When symptoms of BV are under control, you can cut back the baths to once a day.

*Diet and life-style are very important for long term remission of BV since dysbiosis in the intestines (i.e. Candida) can contribute and worsen BV. Dysbiosis can result from consuming too many refined carbohydrates and junky foods including fast food, sugar, desserts, packaged processed foods, fructose, corn syrup, candy, soft drinks, wine, beer, flour products, fruit (except cranberries and lemons), and fruit juices. Avoid these foods to keep your beneficial flora in balance, and to keep your immune system strong. Focus on fresh green vegetables, salads, and healthy protein such as organic chicken, turkey, meat, fish, and eggs. Optimal health is attained through a life-style approach!

The lining of the healthy vagina supports a vast population of friendly bacteria, the most abundant of which are a type called the lactobacilli. These lactobacilli, especially lactobacillus acidophilus, are now recognized as the most important defense mechanism in maintaining vaginal health and hygiene. They achieve this by attaching in large numbers to the surface of the vaginal wall, so forming a protective layer. In addition, they produce substances such as hydrogen peroxide that help maintain this population dominance.

However, under some circumstances, e.g. following antibiotic therapy or in conditions of raised estrogen levels, the beneficial flora can be depleted or disrupted causing an unhealthy imbalance and a reduction in the naturally hygienic condition.
