It protects individuals taking birth control pills. By aiding the clearance of excess estrogen released in the body by the pills, the formula minimizes the potential for common estrogen-related side effects. Components of soy are incorporated to also help normalize estrogen levels. The inclusion of indole-3-carbinol may be helpful in blocking potentially harmful effects of the strong estrogen compounds used in birth control pills. Moreover, indole is known to be significantly protective against cervical cancer in young sexually-active women. For individuals desiring to conceive, it helps strengthen the physiology for reproduction and pregnancy. The formula includes B complex factors such as B6, B12 and folic acid, plus trimethylglycine (TMG), which protect against toxic homocysteine levels and nourish the growing fetus. The fatty acid DHA (docosahexaenoic acid), a major building block of brain and eye tissue, is also included. Many Americans have low levels of DHA, vegetarians in particular.
