Metabolism Disorders
METABOLISM DISORDERS
Our metabolism, involves a complex network of hormones, enzymes, vitamins, minerals, amino acids, that not only convert food into fuel but also affect how efficiently you burn that fuel.
All living things must have an unceasing supply of energy and matter. The transformation of this energy and matter within the body is called metabolism.
Metabolism refers to all the physical and chemical processes in the body that create and use energy, such as:
- Digesting food and nutrients
- Eliminating waste through urine and feces
- Breathing
- Circulating blood
- Controlling body temperature
- Contracting muscles
- Functioning of the brain and nerves
Adenosine-5'-triphosphate (ATP) is a multifunctional nucleotide, the most significant function of which in cell biology is as a "molecular currency" of intracellular energy transfer. In this role, ATP transports chemical energy within cells for metabolism. It is produced as an energy source during the processes of photosynthesis and cellular respiration and consumed by many enzymes and a multitude of cellular processes including biosynthetic reactions, motility and cell division. In signal transduction pathways, ATP is used as a substrate by kinases that phosphorylate proteins and lipids, as well as by adenylate cyclase, which uses ATP to produce the second messenger molecule cyclic AMP.
ATP by itself will not increase metabolism. It takes a synergy of B vitamins and other ingredients to increase metabolism.
The Thyroid Gland
The most talked about gland in the human body with the least amount of accurate information. One reason for this is the fact that blood work is completely inaccurate in most cases. Your metabolism changes throughout the day starting out at the highest levels in the morning and peaking out before lunch then after lunch it starts to slow down as you head into the evening. There are ways of finding out if you really have a thyroid problem and how to treat it naturally. A simple program at the end of this will let you know if you really have a thyroid issue.
