Eye and Vision Support

Vision can be an indication of health. The mistake that most people make is running off for the prescription glasses before they even know the cause of the vision loss.

Eye problems can sometimes be a warning for a more serious health issue or concern. When going to an appointment for prescription eye glasses, the doctor does not help to figure out the cause of the problem. The doctor simply prescribes a lens that will correct the vision problem; however, this correction is only temporary. Often, eye health continues to worsen, even with the use of glasses.

Glasses, like all crutches, are helpful for temporary use. Over a long period, the use of a crutch starts to take the place of something our body is supposed to handle. When the body recognizes it has a crutch to lean on, it no longer tries to address the problem directly. So, the function it was responsible for starts to fail and most often never restores. In fact, the problem will usually worsen. The body does not have to put effort into restoring eye health and with the underlying cause to the vision problem not being addressed, vision worsens.

Vision Disorders Can Be Caused By The Following:

Aspartame, Brain Tumor - Double vision, especially if it is associated with headache, is a significant symptom of a brain tumor. Chronic Fatigue / Fibromyalgia Syndrome, Dehydration, Diabetes Type I or a warning sign that you may be getting this disease. Blurred vision is one of the first signs of elevated blood sugar. The shape and size of the lens in your eye changes when your blood sugar fluctuates. This swelling of the lens can cause blurred vision.

If you notice blurred vision, you should have your blood sugar checked. The acceptable range for fasting glucose is 80-110mg. If your blood sugar is substantially higher or lower than the acceptable range, contact your doctor. When your blood sugar is controlled, your vision will return to its previous state.
